Check but it covers for very little, it does not cover for anything but loss of the animal. Infertility is not covered.

About 100/1000 last bull i insured. Covers infertility due to injury or diease and loss of bull. LIke all insurance dear till you need it. Last bull i had cost a lot of money went out one morning and found dead heart attack insurance paid out which covered replacement. If no insurance would be out lot money and no bull.

Read an article recently it stated 10% of Stock Bulls are infertile & a further 15% suffer from sub-fertility during the breeding season.

No, but I think there's a crowd in Mayo who cover that eventuality!

its about 10 Percent of value. it is worth doing for the first year anyhow. if a young first season bull is put with a herd of cows if anything is going to happen him its there is a good chance it will be the first season. He has cleared himself somewhat after his first crop of calves and there might be a reason to change him if your not satisfied
