Blonde cattle are late maturing. I don't think you can do much more than push the energy feeds into them. Steers heifers or Bulls?

Have 40% maize meal in the diet.
    Steers and heifers.

Bb cross blondes would be naturally lean cattle.

    Is the ration good quality?.

Drop protien in ration to 12% and as said above lots of maize meal.

How long are you fattening them?

Started feeding them in the middle of August and built them up to 10 lbs and went ad lib from the end of September.

I don't know what more you can do, would selling live in the mart be an option?

No wouldn't go there be still better in factory
Was wondering was there any kind of additive

Your best bet is probably to feed them on for longer and forget about 30 months. They are probably putting on a lot of weight. Those kind of cattle are going to take time to flesh off.

Any buffers or yeast in the ration? What sort of shed are they in slats/mats/straw? How many in a pen?
    Are they getting enough water?
Stray electricity can be a problem too.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    +1 to that.
Nothing worse than heavy rain down on cattle you are trying to fatten

It causes stress in cattle, if dairy cows are feeling it when milked they have high cell counts. Noticed it last year the electric fence was earthing on one side of the yard and the earth for the fencer was on the opposite side of the yard. It was worse on a wet day. There was a cracked insulator on the fence. Instead of drinking normally the cattle were sort of licking the water because they were getting a shock off the metal barrier.
