Broadband speed issue

    Hi there,

A friend has an attic conversion and his PC has broadband speed issues.

On the week of Nov 9th, the PC in the attic had speeds of 65mb along with the rest of the house.
On the week of Nov 16th, the speed reduced to 100kb whereas the rest of the house was 70mb. The PC has been giving a performance clean. So the PC isnt the issue. The PC has a Netgear Wireless USB for broadband connectivity

I tested my laptop around the house and as soon as I was in the attic conversion, the speed dropped to 100kb.

Could someone advise what would be causing the speed to drop suddenly?

    Regards,
    DTreacy0767

Something used in the construction of the conversion blocking wifi signal? Download a wifi analyser app to a phone and check signal strenght as you move around the house. You may have to use a wifi homeplug extender to overcome this.
