Hi there, I have bought about 10 gifts for people around me. My sister told me I may not be able to send them because they are perfumes and jewellery.
    Is this true???
I'm going to lose my mind if it's true!
However about 2 months ago I posted perfume to the UK and there was no problem. Please help if you can. And I am in Ireland and will be posting from Ireland. Feel like crying :(

What's the intended destination? These items are perfectly fine to post as long as the perfumes are not in an aerosol can and not flammable. As others have said, liquids are not ok, I based my post on the experience sending liquids sucsesfuly without knowing they're banned. Just because it used to go through doesn't mean it will now..

I would consider some sort of insurance for the jewellery thou.. if it's pricey, go with a courier rather than post.

the reason why I asked about the destination is because if it's outside EU/EEA there might be some dealings with the customs at the destination country, but other than that, it should be fine

From the An Post website -Never send liquids outside of the Republic of Ireland using any of our services. We cannot accept liquids due to IATA regulations.

You really need to contact An Post and ask them.

No Need to ask, you cant send liquids or pastes in the post through An Post.

Other couriers may have different regulations and may take them.

Liquids cannot be sent by air unless sent by special service (couriers such as Fedex offer this but its expensive)

An Post use airmail for all their international mail.

If its an address in Europe you could use GLS Parcel shop https://gls-group.eu/IE/en/occasional-shipment/parcel-shops GLS send all parcels by road.

If its outside Europe, your best option is to look for a good store within that country and get them to deliver internally.
