I've been looking for this damn doll for the past week for a cousin of mine. I stumble across one and reserve it in Wexford.

I then tell the person that I have it but they don't want it anymore because it's too far to travel.

The question is - what now? Do I just let the reservation run out? Do I give it to another person who is having trouble getting one? Do I sell it on adverts for many $$$s. Amiright? ;)

I don't want to give it to someone who will sell it.

Is that the toy parents are getting into fist fights over? Get the thing and sell it to the highest bidder!

Youll probably be getting PMs from desperate parents just from posting this!

Give the reservation to a friend or family member that's looking for the doll. If you can't find anyone just let it run out :)

"Swap for something in my ads?"

Ads generally include flat tyre or broken kettle

I was helping a mate with this, sold out everywhere, Britain included. Ended up getting it from the States.

We've been looking for one for my two year old but had no luck, we're gonna just wait until after Christmas now, we've been lucky that she's too young to want anything from Santa but we've been in this situation before with our other kids and had no problem telling them that Santa couldn't get it this time but he got something you'd like just as much. I can't understand how people can get so crazy over a toy, just tell the child it wasn't possible this time, a little disappointment is good every now and then.

As for the toy, if it's close by and you can get it then get it and post it on facebook to people you know, you might make a friend with kids very happy. If not, flog it on adverts. If people want to pay you a fortune then more fool them.

I have no idea what it is but it seems to be a big deal.

How about asking someone in Wexford to pick it up for you and donate it to SSF?

Got it sorted out. Thankfully :)

There seems to be plenty where I am. Hypothetically speaking, if someone was coming back to Ireland the second week of December, would this person be able to sell a luggage case full of Elsa Dolls?

One could take a leaf from Dwight Schrute from the office book...

There's a load of people trying to sell these dolls for profit on donedeal and the likes. It was a similar situation last year with the Xbox and Playstation 4.

What amazes me though is the extent people despise this kind of thing. Like everything, it just comes down to supply and demand. If people try to make money on something, I personally have nothing against it. As usual no ones forcing anyone to buy anything at any price. Its no different to any business of any sort after all, seeing as a business only exists to make a profit.

If folk just had a bit of patience and could wait for 3 weeks then they could purchase them cheaply enough from China on ebay... http://www.ebay.ie/itm/FROZEN-ELSA-PRINCESS-SNOW-GLOW-DOLL-MUSICAL-SINGING-LET-IT-GO-XMAS-GIFT-r27-/390982476018?pt=UK_Toys_Creative_Educational_RL&hash=item5b085f20f2#shpCntId

It's scummy behaviour. It's completely different to a business selling the toys, because businesses aren't placing a 1000% mark up on the dolls.

They're profiting on people's desperation. No one wants their daughter (or son) to come down on Christmas morning expecting an Elsa doll only to find that Santa doesn't like them that much, so they'll pay over the odds from someone who bought it purely to milk them.

Whenever I've had extra tickets to a match/gig, I've never sold them on for more than face value. I might pay/charge a little extra to cover an inconvenience like travel or having to wait around for someone, but trying to make massive profit off something like this is just classless behaviour in my book.

Unless you want to make a mockery of everything I have every learned in college, you had better buy and then sell the damn thing at a mark-up.
