    We have mini ipad and my son (6) really likes it. Want to get a cheap tablet for him of his own. Really appreciate views or alternatives?

    that tablet would be put away by the queens speech never to be used again. the ram in that 512mb of ram should be illegal. it wont be able to run that much once you take into account the bloat that already comes with it. regardless of what they wish to use it would be nearly full before you switch it on.
    How much are you willing to spend? what will you be using it for ? * i know its for your son, but youtube? games movies etc?

    Mostly used for some music, youtube, some kids apps & games I'd say.

    how much do you want to spend?
    the resolution might be ok for some games but i doubt youtube will look good on it. how long do you want the tablet to last? * is it just a year?
    bear in mind nothing you get unless its an apple product will compare to your ipad mini. but there are decent enough android tablets out there that are really good, a lot would be better than the apple.

    can you order online? the reason I ask is some people still dont do this, and a lot still dont understand about parcel motel

    I'm hoping to get as good as possible for under €100 (maybe abit lower if possible).

    xtravision have the 2013 nexus 7 16 gig for 199, and are awaiting stock for the 2012 model does not say what memory, sorry cant post links
