Well most towns have a few characters that are known from whatever reason, good or bad. My town has a few

The local barber-in his 60's and has never left ireland. He loves a bit of "irish casual racism" . Anytime you go for a hair cut he loves to b!tch about the new turk barbers in the town. For some fooked up reason he hates the swedish too..only eats standard bacon & cabbage or beef food and hates "foreign food"

Has you town/village got any memorable character??

Sure, humiliate and encourage to degrade themselves clearly troubled persons for laughs.

    That's fun.

I remember my college days in Galway

Flash Gordon in Mervue shouting "howya boys" at you when you walked past. For a long time I thought he only shouted at me but then I learned everyone knew him

Warty Nora wandering into all the pubs begging

And knacker dwarf. That lad was seriously aggressive!!

Can any Galwegians confirm if these are still around?

He's originally from Carlow, he's been in Waterford for years now. When I started in college down there I seen him and couldn't believe it. It was like he had followed me. Couldn't wait to get home at the weekend... "You won't believe who's in Waterford.... How Do"
