Worst week and feel trapped!

    Ok, this might be long.

My partner of 2 years tried to kill himself a few days ago, he is in hospital and he is getting the help he needs which is the most important thing, but I feel so guilty for feeling so stressed.

He has no money coming in and I can't mention it to him at the moment for obvious reasons, I am participating in a jobbridge and bringing in about €300 a week. (I work sundays as well, just 60e but it nearly pays my half of the rent). I took on the jobbridge because I had no digital marketing experience and was happy to do some traditional stuff as well, however, the job has become a traditional job as the owner decided I wasn't experienced enough to do the digital side. He has probably spent a few thousand euro on this since I started. I have 6 years marketing experience and have done the job I am doing before, the owner knows this.

The problem is there is no way, I can afford to leave if I am going to pay my rent in December, I am completely trapped.

I can't leave this job or I won't make rent.
I can't move to anywhere cheaper without a deposit of at least €1000 (Dublin prices)
I have noone to stay with.

I know I need to see a doctor, but the only money I have is for the electric bill due on Monday. I have €5 to feed me with no food in the fridge and the worst thing of all the man I love is in a mental hospital and I can't touch him and see him. I miss him so much.

    God that's tough OP.
I don't have much advice except to suggest the Community Welfare officer in your area. DSP usually can put you in contact. Also would the Vincent de Paul be any use to you?

Hope your partner is ok OP and you too.

It sounds like you are overwhelmed right now which isn't surprising. The job isn't what you hoped so the best thing to do now is start looking around for something new whilst staying in the current one. And I would also recommend welfare officer. Don't forget to look after yourself

The best cheap food will be eggs. Should keep you going for a few days.

Things will get better. I would reach out to someone and ask for help. Family friends etc.

    op
sorry to read about your partner.
he's in the right place for now and hopefully will make a good recovery.

i know it's no help at the moment, but could you apply for a medical or gp card. that way, if you need to go to a gp, at least you won't be worried about the cost.

could you explain some of the pressure you are under to your employer?
    take care.
