Guys, I'm trying to work out of a price for supply and erection of a small steel frame for a domestic extension is high, low or normal.

I calculated just shy of 900kg of steel plus about 13m lengths of 100x100x8 SHS sections. Various bolts, welds etc. I've been told to add on approx 30% for plates and bolts etc and then my final weight will give a guide price?

Can anybody give a current price per kg or ton of steel. The steel guy is painting and erecting the steel work.

    Thanks.

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Thanks. I've just been quoted 5k for supply and for of this. I thought it was a little on the high side tbh. Excuse the odd pictures, wanted to remove as much personal info as possible and the engineers logo too.

fabricated steel installed will cost anywhere from €2200/2800 per tonne supplied and fitted depending on layout, amount of welding and connections and the like. Lighter sections will have a higher cost per tonne
