    Hey Guys,

I'm buying a tablet for my girlfriend for her birthday. My budget is 300 euro.

She has a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, but its a bit dated at this stage. I was thinking of just getting her the Tab 4 10.1 seen here: http://www.expansys.ie/samsung-galaxy-tab-4-10-1-wi-fi-16gb-white-261845/

Just wondering if you guys feel there's something of better value in terms of specification at a similar cost out there? Also, I've never ordered from expansys, are they any use?

    Really appreciate the help.

    Thanks

There's very little in the way of an upgrade from the tab 2 to the tab 4, in terms of specs. There's not a huge amount to choose from in terms of 10" droids at the moment, though, at that price point.

I have a LG G pad 8.3 and really like it. I think it's the perfect size for a tablet. Not too small and very portable. Good all round spec.

    €299 in Harvey Norman

    €240 delivered on amazon

In terms of upping the budget, that's not an option. She can blame her parents for having her a month before Christmas in that regard :pac:

The specification on the Tab 4 is a bit better than the Tab 2 model. Quad core v dual core, higher screen resolution, slightly bigger screen size and a bit more memory. The Tab 4 model also is lighter and more aesthetically pleasing in terms of shape.

I really like that LG model and if this was for me, I'd buy that model but for her I think the screen is a bit small on it.

Anyway, I went ahead with the Tab 4. I found it for 250 on Komplett so I can grab a case and headphones with the change.

Thanks for your replies guys, much appreciated.
