I've seen a few threads here about how can I earn X amount out of school/college whatever. I thought i would offer my experiences for people to question.

In summary, I'm 30 years old and last month I was paid 20K net. I usually earn 6-8K net every month depending. I'm not the richest in the world or the hardest working but I think I do ok and I would like to offer advice to others, particularly those who are in college and unsure about the next step.

What an arrogant and condescending sounding post.

Any plans to divulge how you earn this extraordinary amount of money?

What do you actually do for a living?

OP clearly invites questions, so one can guess that they are indeed planning to divulge.

OP, what do you do to earn this money? FWIW I don't think your post was condescending or arrogant at all.

The question of what you do for a living in a thread you started inviting questions is a difficult one?

I would assume at either the European Commission or some other EU Related Think Tank.

Yes I didn't want to get into detail about my exact job as I'm here to advise on general strategies.

There's more to Belgium than the EU. Not getting into a job guessing game.

No one can analyse Data like Big Dave, we call him Big Dave, the guy who analyses data and advises on general strategies.

General strategies like 'work hard', 'brown nose' & 'sell yourself as a contractor' and the like? Yep, the €20k roll in soon afterwards :pac:

Oh-kay, so what degree course should one do to get this golden handshake?

Maths or physics. Get a first in a proper university and you are halfway there. Not that difficult to achieve for most people.

I'm lazy so my approach is to take it handy for a couple of years and then out in a good 6 month shift when it matters. People only remember the hard work. The pissing about is forgotten.

Same can be said for University really.

I'm not sure how all of them work, but I got a first based solely off my final year results, not any of the other three years where I didn't do any work.

OP you got a quite colorful history on boards so far and your posts here only appear to continue down the same track; hence I'll lock this one up and if your next thread is anything as vague you'll get a permanent ban.
