Insulation - Best option?

    Hi Guys,

Ive just signed the lease on a 3000sq ft warehouse which needs some insulation to keep heat in during the winter.

Ive got quotes for mdf and tiled suspended ceilings but id prefer to keep the full ceiling height and insulate the correlated warehouse ceiling if possible.

Suspended ceilings for 3000 sq ft are also silly expensive...best quote i got was €19SQM for 270SQM. That was for the ceiling alone, without any rolled insulation above it.

    Anyway..

Ive been told aeroboard filled into the warehouses current ceilings slots will give me the insulation i need and cost a fraction of the price..seems appealing at first. Ive looked up the ratings of aeroboard and you seem to need a lot more of the stuff to get the same value as rolled insulation..

I think it may be useful to tell you what im using the warehouse for and give you an idea of how much heat i need..

Its pretty cold at the moment, the current ceiling doesnt hold any heat really but its being used as a gym. Theres an identical building next door with the same roof and has a suspended celing inside with 150/200mm rolled insulation and its more than enough to keep heat in. So if i was to find a way to hold a similar amount of heat without splashing out for a suspended ceiling, id be delighted.

Ive included a pic of the ceiling so you can get a feel for what im dealing with. Its about 30Mx9M and the beams start at around 2.5M.Its a pretty straight forward rectangular shape.

Any ideas or help on how i can hold some heat in here without spending a bomb would be brilliant!

    Thanks guys
