speed limit

Does anyone know the speed limit on the r132 going towards lusk from pavilions roundabout, between woodies and the next roundabout.

Reason I ask is the previous stretch from pavilions roundabout to the next roundabout is 80 kph, then next stretch had a speed van on the road, I was doing 70 and at the end of that stretch approaching the roundabout it's indicated 60 kph, then after the roundabout it's 80 kph.

I thought I was safe in the outside lane passing cars on the inside lane at 70 kph but as the limit was not indicated at the start of the road rather at the end I'm worried the whole stretch could be 60 kph.

Anyone know what the story is here?

It may depend on the exact location. Can you mark it on Google Maps or similar?

    Https:// maps.google.com/maps?output=classic&dg=brw

Just remove the space in that link and you can see the stretch I am talking about

Finding it hard to work it that link world for me, iv spoken to a few people who are also under the impression that it is 80 kph.

But if it turns out it is 60 kph do I have any grounds to stand on as it isn't signposted untill after the gatso van? Or is it a case of ignorance of the law doesn't excuse a break of the law?

I wouldn't trust 3 year old imagery, but the section before this (junction of the R106-R132) is 80km/h and there is no sign to indicate a lower limit between this and the 60km/h sign (past Woodies), so unless the signs have changed 70km/h should be okay.

The only exception to this is temporary lower limits for works.
