Anyone any experience with these...looking for audiophile's opinion? :)

    €266?

I like my music, but I certainly wouldn't pay that for headphones!

    Have a look here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_nr_p_72_0?fst=as%3Aoff&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Asennheiser+headphones%2Cp_72%3A419153031&keywords=sennheiser+headphones&ie=UTF8&qid=1416072843&rnid=419152031

I use the HD201's and they're great - if you really want to spend money look at the HD449's for £70.

If you're listening to MP3 etc, it's worth remembering that the quality of the music is poor anyway - good 'phones won't improve that!

250 is really not that much for a pair of good headphones :) I wouldn't go near any headphones that cost less than 150 just because most of the cases the quality is not good enough. Decent ones from Sennheiser also cost 250 and more.

I had the QC15 from Bose for a year now and I LOVE THEM. The best noise cancellation so you can enjoy the music at it's best and they are SOOOO comfortable. And QC25's are even better (tried them on in a Bose shop in Dublin)

Not neccisarily. The HD25 are excellent and be picked for for under €200.

OK. The OP didn't mention Noise Cancellation - you've moved the goalposts.

Nobody has addressed the issue of listening to BAD quality music on good cans - why?

No point in driving an F1 car on a country boreen.....

If you're plugging your cans into an mp3 player/mobile phone, why spend that much money? Or, am I missing the point, and €200 is not a lot of cash any more?

I have the QC15 for two and a half years now and love them. If you want to use headphones in an any way noisy place like on a bus, aeroplane, noisy street, noisy neighbour or even beside a snoring partner! then these are fantastic. I highly recommend them.

Can you not have your music ripped losslessly on your MP3 player or phone? Why do you automatically assume people are listening to bad quality?

I'm gonna make a more logical assumption that anyone that's looking to spend €200+ on a headset, knows about music compression and can tell the difference between a good and bad rip.

These are more for people who do a lot of traveling in my opinion not audiophile's. Business class passengers and the like that would need noise cancellation for flights etc. It was very good qc15s I had but not my choice when I was at home. Found the sound quality better on a pair of sennheiser for half the price. But if your buying these its for the noise cancellation.

Lossless? As in FLAC? Don't know anyone who does that TBH - maybe there's a few, but I doubt it's common. BTW - I wouldn't make too many assumptions...:-)

Back to headphone quality....noise cancellation..? Yep I get it, and it's great.

Apart from that, I honestly believe that few people can tell the difference in sound quality between a €30 pair and a €150 pair.

It reminds me of the old HDMI cable racket "OH no sir, you definitely need a gold plated HDMI cable for your new LED!"

BTW - this Amazon page is interesting......

You are totally misleading people with the above.

Quite a lot of people listen to lossless music, so it is common, very much so.
If you think someone can't tell the difference between a €30 pair of random earphones and a €150 pair of Etymotics, you'd be wrong.
HDMI??? If you don't know why that argument doesn't apply hear then there's little point in you posting.

Well a hdmi either works at 100% quality or 0%, no in between. I don't think the same can be said for a set of headphones.

I think we're at cross purposes here (BTW 54kroc, it's here, not hear), so I'll quietly withdraw.

OP, I hope you enjoy whatever you buy.

Correcting a spelling mistake, good for you.
Withdrawing is a good idea, no more posts of bs.

Why would someone need a gold plated HDMI cable for a light emitting diode?
