Remote central locking Citroen Berlingo

    Hi,

I'm in the middle of adding "remote" function to the central locking in 2012 Berlingo Van.

I've sussed out where to wire to for to get the locks opening and closing but I'm wondering if anyone knows how to get the indicators to flash.

There's a wire to send signal from the remote locking control unit but I don't know where to send it to. Hazard light switch is no use as that just requires a signal to a wire to turn hazards on and a signal to the same wire to turn them off.

I'm looking for where to send the siganl so that that they flash at the tempo set by the remote locking unit.

    Any help appreciated.

    Ask any questions.

    Thanks

Are you using a generic remote locking kit or a peugeot/citroen part?

its a generic one. I've it done now. Couldn't get indicators to work and as I've copped on now there was no point anyway.

I've wired the kit into the switch on the dash for the locks. that switch requires a signal to a wire to open the locks and then a signal to the same wire to lock them. hence im using the same button to lock and unlock and therefore the indicators would only flash once for lock even when unlocking (would flash twice if I was using the unlock button)

probably should have wired it differently ie. To the door instead of the switch but however I'm happy enough with this.

Is it to the doors I should have wired the kit or what.

reckon id still need relays or something for the indicators so as they'd work normally while driving

    thanks

I'm assuming its multiplex and therefore quite complex, you did well I'd say.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread but, what RCL unit did you buy/use?
I want to install rcl in my 2013 Berlingo, manual locking is wrecking my head. Not even sure if the van came with remote central locking first day. Just have a transponder key with no buttons. Thanks..

It was just a cheap generic kit.

Cost less than €20 on adverts if I remember correctly
