Hiya, i am pretty confused by this, so any help would be lovely!

i have been asked to work for a second company, on top of my current job. I did a few days over the past two weeks, and was 'put on the books' yesterday.

the owner told me that as i don't have a p45, because I'm staying in my other job, I'll need to ring Revenue and get my tax credits split. Can i just ring them and get one third allocated to the new job, and two thirds to the current job? Or is it a 50/50 split?

other one is, the owner told me I'll be put back on emergency tax, which i can obviously ring and get sorted. will i be emergency taxed for BOTH jobs, or just the new one?

    thanks in advance :)

You can split your tax credits and your lower rate tax band in any proportion you like so if you want one third to one and two thirds to the other just ask revenue to do that.

You'll only be emergency taxed on the new employment
