Contacting companies directly to suggest they offer me a job bridge intern role?

Has anyone done this? There are very few intern roles in the field I am trying to gain some experience in (currently just one posted), so I think I need to take matters into my own hands. What do people think would be the best way of going around this? Thanks

    It's a good idea.
Treat it like any other job application. Phone up the company and try to get talking to someone. You may need to explain the job-bridge programme to them if they're not familiar with it. Tell them you'd like to meet with them to discuss it further.

Yes, it's a very good idea - the trick is to get talking to the right person within the company who can make it happen.

It certainly shows initiative, willingness to learn & the understanding that it's important to gain experience in a given field in order to progress - all of which are good qualities.

    Best of luck.
