Phone repair confusion

I am a little bit confused here. I have an HTC one M7, I bought at Carphone with Emobile. It is covered by mobileinsurance. I dropped it, smashed the screen and cracked the camera lens and sent it to them to replace it.

Anyway, they sent me back what appears to be an absolutely brand new HTC on the outside. But it has the same IMEI number, so I am wondering did they just replace the entire case? If so, is the warranty now voided, I am getting the purple tint camera issue really badly, so the camera is useless on it.

Repairs have to be permanent so send it back, IIRC they have 3 attempts before you can demand a replacement. Warranty is from the original purchase date but this is an addition to your consumer rights, have a look at the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act or check citizens information.

The same happened to me when I sent mine away to fónfix, HTC's authorized repair centre. I was advised that my phone couldn't be fixed and HTC had sent this one from the UK. New Phone, Same IMEI. No issues with it though. Was advised Warranty would continue as it was, IE, if you had 8 months left on your original Warranty, you'd have 8 months left now too.
