Personally I found that as I get older it gets more and more less 'Christmassy' until the day itself.

We've a whole Conspiracy forum for the likes of you and you post in a Christmas thread? [EDIT] Actually think he's a Poe taking the piss now tbh.

To the OP. You don't feel the Christmas vibe yet because its not Christmas yet. This coming from someone who loves Christmas, posts in the Christmas forum, puts up the Tree and decorations earlier than most, closest weekend to December 1st. If that means last weekend in November then so be it etc etc Even the likes of me doesn't feel Christmassy yet nor expects to be no matter how full the airwaves are with Christmas ads already.

There's a team in work here that decorated their desks on November 1st.

Next day the shopping centre had the decorations and xmas music up.

On the plus side, starbucks have brought out their xmas drinks.

We don't take too kindly to your kind 'round here. Why don't you keep driving until you're past the county line, like a good man. This here shotgun is gettin' mighty heavy, what with all the lead and all.

If you think about it logically it's all one big marketing con trick.

    Merry Christmas.

Christmas is complete and utter ****e these days, I can't believe how many adds are constantly on the tele for it already.
There should be a ban on even talking about it until December 1st if you ask me.

Maybe I'm going mad but was there not a new poster called BATMAN spouting Conspiracy nonsense and 'Jesus Loves You' etc in this thread last night? Either I'm going mad or he or a mod deleted those posts. Thats who I was talking to in the opening line of my post. The rest of my post was for the OP. ie. You.

Probably because it's the 14th of November.

I get very Christmassy around this time of year, then end up sick of it by Christmas!

I came in steaming at 4 or 5 the other morning. My housemate had a go at me the next day, saying I'd got in and started singing at the top of my voice.

"I'm used to you drunkenly singing, but you were singing the Fairytale of New York. It's November for fúck sake!"

Sure they're all just marketing con tricks. Why don't we just have a bland non commercialised year without any festivals or milestones to delineate it where every month just blends into the next, working sleeping eating, day 4312 of the new millennium, think I'll have a party, damn, no one can come because no one else set aside day 4312 of the new millennium for my party cause they were working etc etc etc.

    Logic me hole.

Surely it's more logical to have set festivals where lots of people have time off at the same time so you're not jonnie no mates at your own party etc
