hows things, im hoping you guys can help. No plumbing experience at all. just got oil into the new house. tank is half full. tank valve and valve near the burner both open. i have a danfoss bfp 11 which seems simple enough to bleed based on youtube videos. opened bleed valve and no oil appeared. what can i do now, ive tried all combinations of the valves and still no oil.

Did you start the burner while you were bleeding it..

yeah i have done that and it is getting oil now but the burner isnt igniting. the timer is set to on and im getting power. the pump runs and the burner makes a noise for a minute then drops out... its more of a vacuum kind of noise than the deep powerful noise a running burner makes. its a bentone st108. thanks in advance

From what im gathering your burner motor runs, tries to fire and then goes to lockout.Without a pressure gauge on your pump its hard to tell for sure.I think though that your not getting oil through to the nozzle,
What you could check before you get a an oil service technician to look at it,

1/ On the you tube video for bleeding a danfuss pump did you disconnect the wire plug connection to the coil on the pump. And if so did you reconnect?

2/What did the valve beside your burner look like.Is it brass in colour with a wheel head on top?,if so its a firevalve, turn fully "CLOCKWISE" to open

3/Check that the valve on your oil tank is fully open,if wheel type, turn fully "anticlockwise"

You know, being that you just moved in, the wisest (and safest) move would be to have it serviced to make sure it's also safe and efficient
