Hi Guys, I need to buy a van, I'll be doing lot of motorway miles, I won't be carrying a lot of weight but would like something with LWB & maybe hi-roof? what would I have to spend to expect not to be buying trouble? & what should I spend it on?
    Thanks in advance:)

Do you have a budget in mind?

What exactly will you be carrying, what length/height do you need. Will you be carrying a passenger. Is a fixed bulkhead (the wall that divides the cargo space from the front seats) necessary?

Have a look at Watchdog at 8pm on BBC1 tonight, they are reporting on a fault with some vans (not stated what make) that may cost the van owners thousands of pounds.

I'm bit confused with Q will I be carrying a passenger? do some van's have single seat & longer loading with no bulkhead?

    Definitely worth a look!

I wonder if it's more on the injector problems with some makes or something completely new?

In some vans you can fold down the drivers seat to make the cargo space longer.

More confused - fold down drivers seat? do you mean passenger seat?
& from your original Q are you saying I can get a van with no passenger seating + have the extra length?

    Oops. yes the passenger seat!

Original point was, if you need to carry long stuff and don't have passengers, then a smaller van with this feature might do you.

So anyway, what are you spending, how much space do you actually need?

As colm said its hard to give suggestion without knowing a budget and a rough size you want or what you will be carrying. A lwb hi roof van gives no real description of what size you need as you can get a lwb hi roof transit connect, Renault trafic, for transit, Mercedes sprinter to name a few and there all completely different size vans.
