MF565 loader options...

We've a MF565 at home and has a good engine having been rebuilt before we bought it a good many years ago.

Its main use these days is shifting round bales but l've seen models on the web with l think a MF80 front loader. Seen a few secondhand ones for sale but unsure.

Quess what l am hoping is that it might make work easier for the father lifting the bale in or possibly aid other jobs...and other uses.

Is there a modern or new alternative...
Expect it would need to get it fitted or would it be as simple as bolt and plug in probably not ...the weight for one, the tools...and not knowing what your doing.

They do pretty much bolt on and plug in, but unfortunately depending on the brackets and where they have to bolt to can make it a bit trickier as often other things may have to be removed to get room to put on the brackets or gain access to the various bolts.

The brackets aren't to heavy normally, well sort of 2 people could man handle them, but you'd be better off with a block and tackle or loader to hang them from. the loader itself would weigh a fair bit and you'd really need another loader to lift it up onto its stands to fit it.

There are plenty of alternatives as regards makes and ages of loaders right up to new but they are big money.

The most likely makes you will find second hand here apart from massey loaders that will suit it will be tanco and quicke.

New loaders are expensive bits of kit probably the value of the tractor 5 - 6 k fitted without any attachments on a 4wd 100hp tractor.

Plenty of second hand loaders on donedeal will do. Brackets can generally be picked up or adjusted to make fit any tractor.

I have an alo quickie 2000 power loader with grab that came off a 675 and was on a 165 prior to that. I'm sure one of these one fit. PM me if you want.

Thanks for that, I been looking around Donedeal just to see some fairly ok, would be handy to get some of the attachments and not everyone advertises that...seen an MF80 that's just appeared in Donegal

that's either well minded or painted but its looking in good condition comes complete with bucket, bale spike etc. Problem there is the distance hard to get it down to Galway especially if its just a private farmer.
I've noticed the quickie types seem to get great praise guess it's worth keeping it in mind.

There's a guy in monasterevin, think he trades as monasterevin Agri or something along those lines, he deals purely in loaders, could be worth a call, unfortunately I don't have a number, but some one else on here might.

Edit: just searched there and a facebook page appeared up,

Only downside to the mf80 loader is it sticks out a fair bit in front. I have one on the 290 and if lifting a bale of silage it can lift the back wheels off the ground. Nothing a good weight on the back wont solve tho.
