Public and Social Policy?

    I'm thinking of doing this course, but may also just do a basic Arts degree. What's the consensus? I'm interested in political theory, ideology and alternative political systems, but I'm concerned this course will be more focused on specifics, studying definitions in law and economic formula's sounds awful to me, so if it's that kind of degree I think I'd be better off just doing philosophy and politics in an arts degree.
