I'm looking for advice on how to get an employers registration number ? My husband requires it for a form and his employer is no assistance , also would you pay tax on €300 a week ?

It's the VAT number without the IE at the start.
If you're earning, he probably would.
If you're not you can get your credits transferred to him.

    that's not technically correct.

nowadays, the VAT number is normally the employers reg number but that was not always the case a few years ago. older employers/businesses may have a different VAT number to their employer reg number so you need to make sure with the employer first

It is on his payslip, if he is not getting a payslip then the employer in in breach of the payment of wages acts and you should inform the employer of this, if there are continuing issues go to NERA.
