Hi all. my current set up is :

    1. Full Sky subs with HD
    2. wired from Dish to sitting room.

I also have a old AMSTRAD in kitchen that is also linked to Disk and is receiving the FTA (ie BBC1 on 101 etc) and in the words of Joey Ramone 'We're a Happy Family"

Now have Unemployed son back living with us and has moved into spare room.
When I got the HD Box... I have the old Sky+ left over and was wondering how to get this set-up in spare room.

I can confirm that I have a Quad connection on dish.

So... can someone link me to what connectors I need to get attached to the Quad. Is it as simple as attaching the wire to the Dish and the Sky+ box?? (I have disconnected the AMSTRAD and swapped in the Sky+ box.... but no channels were received. Put back on AMSTRAD and all channels back again! So... am worried that box wont work)

What cable type should I use... the OLD brown co-ax or the new Black one??

Sorry for questions.... a complete newbie here.

Was buying a laptop in Powercity last week and notice that they sell everything you need; cables, connectors, aerials etc.

It looks as if the sky+ box is dead, so before spending money get this sorted first.

Satellite grade cable, RG6 or any of the CT100 spec cables.
