Over the last 2 weeks ive been getting extremely high signal whilst installing Sky,

Usually id expect to receive 100% from the Low carrier
and roughly 70-80% from the highs

but lately im gettin 100% all round, high and lows?

    any1 else experiencing this?

    I think some Astra 2A tps were moved to 2E &/or 2F.

Yeah I follow the kingofsat rss feed to get notified of channel frequency changes, a few days ago lots of the channels moved to 2e on the same frequencies

I have an old sky dish with a quad LN (thingy takes four cables) and a humax freesat HD box and a lidl slivercrest box.

They have been working fine for about 5 years. The lidl has a straight run of cable from the box to the dish, while the Feesat box has an additional connection or join.

I have made no changes to the set up, but in the last week, both before the rain and during the rain the freesat box is complaining of poor or no signal from time to time. The Lidl (SD) box has done the same but not with as much frequency.

    Now, where do I start?
    1. Could it be the LNB
    2. Could it be the sat box? Do they give up in time, I imagine they work or don't?
    3. Damp in the connections
    4. The dish, I do not believe this has moved as it it firmly fixed to the wall as well as the mount.
    5. Or is some external issue, cosmic dust, sat services etc?

    All suggestions welcome.

Most likely a rusty dish or failing lnb. Sky dishes don't last long in Irish weather

I wonder if this is why some of my astra 2 channels have dropped off signal wise in the past week in eastern Europe.

if they have been moved to 2E and 2F this would narrow the signal area, hence increasing the signal within that area,,,,, this in turn would result in the drop off in signal in further out areas!

We prob need an update for our meters to re-calibrate its sensitivity, very hard to tweak the signal when we're gettin 100% all the time.....

It seems to be a lot of the discovery channels that have reduced in signal in the last month here (South East Poland)
