    I am considering upgrading from my i5 3330 to one of the new haswell's particularly the i7 5820k but aside from changing the mobo do I need to buy ddr4 ram and change PSU (xfx 750w) because of the new socket. Should I upgrade to the new socket or go with a haswell or ivy bridge, or not upgrade at all. I you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

    Right now I have i5 3330 zotac 780 amp edition 8gbs of ram and a 1tb Hardrive plus the 750w xfx. I'm hoping to spend roughly 500-600 so if you can help me out thank you

    Waste of money, your processor is perfectly fine. Games are more GPU intensive than CPU intensive. You would be spending a fortune for very little gain on frames

    Stick with what you have until skylake comes along next year

    Thanks guys, is there any other other upgrades you would recommend maybe an ssd or a decent fan controller considering my asrock b75 only has I 4pin fan header.

    An ssd will improve startup speeds as well as load times in games, I'd always recommend getting one as they're not as expensive anymore.

    or for just over 50% extra the price you can get around 100% more space;

    Thanks I'll buy an ssd, I know this might be a bight silly but I was considering upgrading my RAM to 16 gb corsair or something because the sticks I have know are just generic kingston 8gbs and I have no clue what speed they are, should I or just stick with the stuff I have now?

    Well, if it's just for gaming I wouldn't worry about it at all. Just stick with the kingston 8gb. :)
