Hope im in the right area with this question..

Can anyone advise if there are labs in Ireland that would test vodka for me? Not convinced that the smirnoff i bought is infact smirnoff in the bottle though it was bought reliably and was sealed.

    Would it cost much?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Not too sure where to bring this, but it would have to be a lab with a chromatography set up. High Performance...I think. Just to check it's constituents.

Have you thought of contacting Smirnoff / Diageo?

    Article from last year.

In a case such as this if you really do want to follow up on it your best bet might be to contact smirnoff, and see would they accept a complaint they might then ask for a sample or the entire bottle back to check everything.

If you send it to a lab they will be able to tell you the chemical breakdown and that might help if there is something nasty in there but i cant imagine there would be the knowledge in those labs to distinguish vodka brands.

The nastiness in fake branded vodka is adulterants used in industrial alcohol,or just simply industrial alcohol from sources unfit for human consumption; like wood spirit.

Russian gangster have killed tens of thousands of people in Russia with badly distilled industrial alcohol.

It's an official Smirnoff product afaik, bought legitimately in a supermarket.

I've contacted them and will see how I get on.

    Tks
