Well as the title says im still a virgin (24) and that isnt likely to change as im afraid of dating due to this! I see a lot of girls my age getting dates from tinder and I did think of setting up an account but a lot of these girls put out on the first date, which i wouldnt be ready to do, so idk if i should set up an account as lads might expect that I would do this! I have tried meeting more lads in real life to start something more naturally but i just havnt met anyone ive clicked with yet, hence why i was thinking of tinder! I feel like the longer i leave it the worse its gonna be but I feel like girls sleep with lads very quickly now and while I dont have a problem with that, I just dont think i could move that fast with someone :/

    Hi there,

I'm also 24 and have never had sex. (Hate the word virgin!) Not for any particular reason or holding out for something, have come close but was never sure enough of myself or the person I was with. Never been in a relationship, always just brief encounters with lads here and there. I met a guy on tinder a few months ago. Dating since. We haven't had sex yet, though I feel that's mainly circumstantial (both living at home). He's a great guy and even if circumstances were different and we had had the opportunity, I don't think there'd be any pressure at all. Though I'm mad to at this stage. ;)

I went on a couple of dates with another guy before him, and I'd be confident enough in saying he was after a more casual thing.

In real life and on tinder there will be guys looking for sex, but there will also be guys looking for dating/relationships. As long as YOU know what you are looking for, and don't allow yourself to be pressured into anything else, there's nothing to fear. You don't have a sign on your forehead that says 'virgin', nobody is going to know. Give it a try, a date or two - if it's too much take some time out.

And for the record, I have quite a few friends my age now in relationships from tinder/dating sites. All of these relationships progressed at different rates.

    Enjoy! ;)

I'm not sure what other girls do now but you have to go with only what you feel comfortable with.

I would say, sign up to the dating site and see what happens. Dn't have experience with dating sites but there are lots of different men out there. Most men want to be in relationships just like women do.

You just have to make sure that you are in a safe place when you go on the date and take things very slow.

It is always best to take things slowly with relationships especially people you are meeting online. Its actually more fun and you get to know the person and their intentions this way. If they don't want to continue because you didn't sleep with them on the first night then that would be fine because that is not the type of bloke you are looking for.

Don't worry about being a virgin. Don't place too much emphasis or focus on it yourself. At the moment you are just looking to meet new people and possible romance. You are still very young.
