    Hi there,
have to go to Lucan a couple of evenings a week, and I have been using a combination of the Grand Canal, N4 and Ballyfermot. Now the evenings are getting darker, anyone using the Grand Canal have anything good/bad to report? Undesirables hanging about causing trouble on it? I imagine it is quite dark, and not many people on it.

I use the canal path daily, prefer it in winter as less kids hanging around. It's lit all the way, and there are plenty of people using it. Quiet for me in the mornings as I leave the house at 6.30. Surface doesn't frost as easily as tarmac, so prefer it to the road.

Sections are going to be closed over the next few months for works - check SDCC website for updates.
