    Hi All,
My son is running Farming Simulator 2015 on my pc which seems to be running slow at times so i am wondering if i need to upgrade my machines hardware to speed things up or is the machine outdated to run this game..

I'm Looking for advice on what is the best root to take...?

The PC is a Dell dimension e520 with the below spec..
    RAM : 3gb
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce 7300 Le Graphics Card
    CPU : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4300 @1.80GHz 1.79 GHz
    HDD : 250GB
    OS: Windows 7 32 bit

Farming Simulator 2015 required spec below

    RAM : 2gb
    GPU : 1gb or 768mb
    CPU : 2x 2,0GHz or 1x 3GHz
    HDD : 2-6gb
    OS: Windows 7; Windows 8

    All opinions welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

    You could:
Buy a Q6600 or similar if the board supports it
Swap some ram out for bigger ddr2 to get up to 4GB
Buy a newer low power GPU(HD6450 say)

But really its an ancient box and isnt worth putting money into.

    My advice would be:

Upgrade to an E8400 (approx 25-30 euro)

Ram to 4GB (depends on how many slots and what current sticks you have, but lets say 20 euro)

    Card to R7 240 (50 euro).

Total cost 100 and that'll blaze through Farming simulator and similar titles for another few years.

    Another option:

Upgrade to E6850 (approx 15-20 euro)

Ram as is. (fine for farming simulator)

    Card to R7 230 (approx 40 euro)

Total cost 60 euro and will still get through Farming Simulator and similar titles absolutely fine.

Still tons of life left in older machines for certain games.
