emergency tax confusion

Sorry if this has already been covered but couldn't find a previous instance with exact circumstances as mine. I started working in a new job last year from August to October and was taxed on an emergency basis. I started a second job simultaneously as i could manage the hours until eventually i moved over to the second job permanently. I gave my new job a p45 [from the 2nd job] upon request and have been working there since. However i don't believe i ever claimed that emergency tax back [roughly 400 quid], is it just a matter of ringing the tax office? I have a p60 given to me 6 months ago from my current job but have no documents from the job i paid emergency tax with.

Ring them and request a P21 balancing statement for 2013.
