If I disconnect GFX card power will Integrated take over?

    If I just disconnect the power to my GTX 460 but leave it in the slot, will the onboard Intel gfx take over?
    I won't damage the card or anything?

    No, the integrated video won't take over unless the card is physically removed. Chances are you'll also hear a constant high-pitched squeal out of the card with the power removed.

    That's step 1. You might also need to do step 2: enable the on board graphics in your BIOS if it has been disabled

    I've actually never seen a machine where the integrated video didn't take over after removal of a dedicated card.
