I can see them doing Pinkpop and Rock Werchter. Also a battle between Glastonbury and Download for them I imagine. If foo's and Muse end up at same festival (I'm looking at Werchter/Pinkpop), I'm there.

As for Ireland show, they'd be best off doing Marlay now I imagine, and could still do an indoor show next winter too.

Will probably see them elsewhere, but good to see them return.

Out of interest, would a festival, in Marlay, with Muse, Foo's and Metallica sell well. Run it on same basis as Longitude. Or would it just cost way too much?

Currently everything is just speculation but Marlay seems to be the likely choice.

They could do the Aviva surely?

Looks out of the question for those dates now as they rarely do 3 nights in a row and have been announced for Pinkpop in the Netherlands on the 12th.

They were supposed to play the Aviva in the summer of 2013 but didn't because they said said it wouldn't sell very well.

Besides they're not going to play one stadium gig in the middle of a load of festivals.

Looking at the dates, literally every show is a festival show. Wonder will they skip Ireland in the summer and come back for arena tour show then maybe summer 2016?

    Hopefully not!

They would have been a shoo-in for Oxegen, but do they fit any of the current Irish festivals? Longitude maybe?

    Electric Picnic?

No current festivals around their current schedule. they've also announced a Polish festival for the 14th, so they doing Holland into England into Poland in 3 days. Screams no Irish gig to me.

Regarding EP, wouldn't they be the biggest headliner the festival has had? Bar maybe the Killers? I'd struggle to see it, that and they've no shows lined up for then (and are playing all the countries in June/July)

Way to big for Longitude , T-Vital is the only other one i can think of but since it looks like they are only touring early in the summer i doubt they will do it.

EP yea they would be on the same level as Killers but i could see them going down better

I guess the most logical slot, as some have said, would be one of the Marley Park gigs on T in the Park weekend.

Pity they playing Spain/Portugal over that weekend, and then on into France afterwards.

I can't see where an Irish show logically fits in anymore, unless they have 2 stages, so they can do Dublin after Austria, then the second stage gets put up in Holland and when they playing there, the stage from Dublin goes to Download. Clutching at straws right there.

cant see why they wont be one of the marlay park gigs to be honest, still plenty of dates free in june for them to play, would sell well with half decent support

Ireland and gig logistics make it seem unlikely. The cheapest way for them to play here is have it either side of an English date. That can't happen now. I hope it proves differently, but I won't hold my breath by now for one.

kings of leon played here last year and were in belgium the next day having done the uk the month before. I agree it usually coincides with a uk date but id still be surprised if they dont do a gig in marlay park considering the sheer amount of other gigs theyve announced across europe. Im just hoping it doesnt clash with glastonbury for me

Yeah I really hope it does happen too! Just can't see it to be honest. Will be guaranteed on the arena tour though.

Actually, saw a tweet from Dom being asked about an Irish show, he responded saying we will know when he does. Now I know he won't give away any info but that doesn't look great for a summer show to me.

Hopefully it's a stripped down your and they do away with the satellites, the lasers and all the other bollocks props

Id say it is tbh. Some of the dates theyre playing have 3dates in a row so doubt itll be as a big a setup as their last tour

That tweet was actually a reply to me. Dom A usually doesn't mind leaking future tour dates so it's really not looking good.

I've accepted that it's not happening. Going to Download anyway.

Whats interesting is since Download Ireland in 2006 I believe only 1 headline act at Donington since has also gigged Ireland in the same touring run Def Leppard in 2011.

Think its cuase Festival Republic, who run MCD, run Reading, IoW, T, etc.. So they tend to just send acts here that play festivals they run..

Download acts are just too much hassle..

No but someone, can't remember who but I think it was one of the festival promoters, said it would be out before these festival gigs. So early May I'd say.
