    Hi all,
I just posted off my application form for the OPW seasonal guides. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience working in these positions. I have a lot of retail experience but I am trying to break free of retail and try out the OPW.
    Many thanks in advance.

Ya it was a great job when I did it, well paid and reasonable hours. But that was a long time ago. I reckon now its probably minimum wage money and no allowances.

Great summer job but ultimately a bit useless in the long run. You will never get full time work out of it and from my experience when it comes to interviews they generally used to look on tour guiding as a bit of a joke.

Best of luck though. It's a hell of a lot better than working in retail that's for sure!
