Aintree Grand National Packages

So I'm looking to organise a group trip, maybe 13/14 people, to the Grand National next April. I've looked at a number of options and combinations (flying/ferry/driving etc.) but have yet to find something that really suits.

So far it seems the most economical option is one of the package deals from the coach companies which generally come in at €299 per person all in - Travel, accommodation and tickets. Budget wise that's a little above what we were hoping for but could be lived with. The only thing is that they all come with hotels which are located well outside Liverpool city centre - Wrexham or Altrincham.

I was wondering if anyone might know of any company doing a package for a similar, or lesser, price that would include accommodation closer to the city? Or if there's a more cost effective way of organising the whole thing. I realise this might be wishful thinking!

Hotel rooms in Liverpool cost €200-€300 per night on that weekend. You wont get anything cheaper than that coach trip you have sussed out. . Wouldn't be my cup of tea though.
Grandstand tickets for the Friday and Saturday will set you back about £160-£180.

Well there are race tickets included in the package deal so sounds like the best option still. Only looking to go the races on the Saturday anyway so will probably miss our chance to meet those charming young ladies!

The racecourse tickets included in the package will be for the bank down by the side of the first few Grand National fences. They wont get you into the actual proper areas. But there can be good craic over there too on the Saturday.

That sounds like the 'Steeplechase Enclosure' based on the descriptions of the different tickets, details here (click on 'what does this include?' under the name of the ticket) .....
