Vodafone Mobile - 80% Usage Warning Text

    Didn't want to post in the Vodafone thread as I've already spoken to them by phone. Not sure if this is an appropriate forum (feel feel to move of course).

    I'm on PAYG with Vodafone, have been for many years. The 250Mb data allowance suits me as I have wifi at home and work.

    Called them today with a usage/credit query. Told them I had received the 80% warning on a Thurs, couldn't make a call that day (didn't connect the two). Got a second 80% warning the Fri. Checked my credit the Fri and it was €0.

    They say I used 60+ Mb of data on the Thurs and that used up all of my credit €18 or so. Find that highly unlikely as I was at home all day connected to wifi and turned data off when I got the first warning but have no way of proving.

    They said today that the 80% warning is not always accurate. Fair enough but to take €18 credit then send me another 80% warning the next day??

    Has this ever happened to anything else? Managed to claw back €9 from them but still a bit annoying.
