i'd be grateful for any help or tips on this....

new build house 3.5 years old. until now never had an issue with the heating at all..

have a 3 coil hot water tank as have a stove back boiler, oil heating and solar panels. haven't used the oil boiler outside for 2 years and heat the house solely off the stove back boiler with a little help from the solar panels.

my 3 kitchen/dining room rads downstairs won't heat up. they're on the same loop i believe as my 4 sitting room rads upstairs...it started off last week that none of the 7 rads on this loop would heat up. the room thermostat is switched on.

all other upstairs and downstairs rads are heating fine.

i started off bleeding all upstairs radiators and after about a week of doing this every evening before turning on the heating and getting a lot of air out, heat started flowing into the upstairs sitting room rads that had not been working but still not as hot as the other upstairs rads.

when i bleed all downstairs rads there was no air from any, even the ones that are not heating up just the normal water pouring out.

one evening during the week though the 3 rads downstairs starting getting a little heat but then stopped again the night after.

so, i've bled all rads in the house until no more air and even turned off all rads except the 3 downstairs that won't heat up but still nothing...

ive even bled the circulating pump in the hotpress and it seems to be pumping fine.

when i turned off all the rads except the 3, the pipes in the hot press got very hot but still nothing in the 3 cold rads and the circulating pump sounded like it was working harder. one night when i turned off everything except the three rads, my overflow pipe from the small tank starting pouring hot water outside..,

i know nothing about heating or plumbing but it seems like a block or air pocket is stopping the water getting into these rads...i doubt if its sludge etc though because it's such a new house and the rads have only been used for 3 winters so far

the weird part is that a little heat got into the 3 problem rads one evening but then not again...does this mean the air block could be moving about?

do i just keep trying to bleed and bleed the rads every night before i get the stove lighted? if there's no air coming out should i let the water pour out for a while?

    any advice welcome!

I didn't go through all your post as it's too long. Turn off every rad that is working and also the red wheel valve going into the bottom of your cylinder. Make sure both sides of the cold rads are fully open. Turn ob oil boiler and see if this works
