Traveling with medication

So, I'm heading to Thailand in Feb, and like some of you on here I have my own personal pharmacy in a bag which I will need to bring with me. Has anyone experienced hassle travelling with their medications?

I've never had a problem travelling with medication for personal use and I've brought plenty with me on several occasions!

I've never had any issues even with syringes being brought through the airport.

I do get a letter from my GP detailing my medication and doses and type of meds (pre-filled syringe/tablet).

I've never been asked for it but it's no harm to have and it'd be useful if my bag was lost abroad or stolen etc or if I were injured and unable to say what was wrong with me or what medication I needed.

I've travelled to thailand several times with my medication and never had a problem. Just dont bring anything OTC that has codeine in it as it makes them angsty. The only time i have had an issue is in Charles De Gaulle where they asked me what my blood glucose tester was.
