    Hi

I'm looking to get car part before I head off to the mechanic to install it. How do I know which one will be suitable as there are different variations for the 1 model..

Basically its front brake pads for this car (2010 Renault Scenic) (Electric Handbrake) . I'm not too pushed on price once I get it right.

here is a list of all the available options but I want to be sure .. I've also tried looking for a spec sheet for parts for my car, and have searched other forums..

    Here's the link

All the pads are for same car just the part is made by different manufacturers and each has a different price

    Go for the mintex

Mintex would be the best from that list but I wouldn't fit any of them to my own car tbh.

Any view on Apec pads for a corrolla? OP hope you don't mind.

How ja mean like? Is there like a Renault genuine brake pad part or another pad that you would recommend?

Does anyone know if there's any electronic fiddling to be done with the installation of these brake pads. Could any mechanic fit them?

I would put them in the same category with the other cheap brands. They certainly wouldn't be going anywhere near my car.

OP look for an OE supplier such as Jurid, Ferodo, Brembo, ATE etc. These are the guys who make the pads for the car manufacturers so you know the quality will be good.

No, the handbrake is on the rear wheels.

Even then it's only a case of pulling the emergency release in the boot to let off the brake when changing the rear pads.

True I had mintex on a transit and the transit forum used to rave about them but found ebc much better. I'm edging a lot towards brembo for the last while though
