I bought one in dealz, Kingsley House, for just E1.49 and it's definitely helped. Is it worth investing extra, in for example Nivea? what do others think? worth the extra money? :)

From what I remember from tests, the cheaper ones were actually better in some cases.

Your skin is waterproof, so most if not all of what you apply to your skin will evaporate within an hour or so and will not absorb what you apply.

I think the ingredients in a cheap moisturiser won't be great, mineral oil, alcohol lots of fragrance etc. Saying that I have been using the ziaja sensitive range lately and finding it great. No additives in it. For dehydration your best off getting a good serum to tackle it, Aldi have a new hyaluronic acid one out for only €8.50

I use the old fashioned Nivea creme (thick moisturiser in the big blue tub) and honestly it's the only thing I'll use now. I keep trying fancy ones thinking I should be doing more or something but I always come back to it. It's cheap as chips and keeps my skin looking well and feeling soft. My only concern is that it doesn't have any spf protection. My mum used it all her life and she had AMAZINGLY soft and moisturised skin.

Aldi Lacura is great. Far, far better than Nivea, better than Shiseido, Clarins and YSL too!

I love Johnson's Daily Essentials 24-Hour Day Cream. €5.99 and it leaves your skin hydrated and soft all day.
For night time, I use Astral. €7 for a giant tub.

I have been using Astral Cream since my early teens I'd say (30 now). I'd be lost without it and thankfully it's so cheap.
My mum has worn it all her life and she has amazingly soft skin.

I really hope I have skin like hers when I'm her age:)
