    Lads,
Need to tighten the handlebars on the stem of the new bike.

On the handlebars there is a line, right to left. Does anyone know where that line lines up at the top of the step?

Also tightening the stem, I have a torque wrench 2 to 24 nm. What setting do I set the wrench to to tighten the handlebars to the stem?

    Sorry for the silly questions.

I used that "line" and I think I was wrong to do so. Go for the brake levers being horizontal (thats what I ended up doing) or what you prefer?

My stem says 6nm (It's usually written on the stem?) but tighten them all bit by bit, not one fully, if you get me.

What's the new bike? It might be different for you but on my own bike I originally set up the stem with the like in the gap between the clamp and main part of the stem but it left the brake levers off vertical.

In the end I set it so the line is at the highest point on the bar (not sure if that will make sense to you).

My bars are aluminium and so is the stem and it says max torque : 5NM

Thanks lads. Thats exactly what mine look like with the line, I have mine in the middle there in the gap, but now maybe thats incorrect.
I had a look there and the 5nm was on the underside.

    Appreciate the feedback and picture.
