Calves legs on slats

Just wondering has it ever happened ye that calve's legs go down through the slats?
it happened me last year and it was some nightmare trying to get it back out. Only for the fact it went down between 2 separate slats and not into the middle of a slat, it would have been alot worse.
I managed to move the slat with a long bar as it hadn't been concreted on one side at the time.

It can happen, the younger the obvious the danger, have seen slats the are chipped and clipped on sides, a real danger for the calf if they wandered near them
