    Sthory Lads,

    Need a bit of help.

I played Guitar when I was 14. A long long time ago.

I would like to start playing it again. I currently live in Germany and I want to buy a good/beginner acoustic guitar from Thomann.de. Can anyone who has 4 minutes to spare, a stranger on the Internet try and find me a reasonably priced acoustic guitar on there?
    Was thinking about this one?

    Thank you.

with that kind of money you would be better off going second hand, you will get a much better instrument for your money.

Yes agreed. But you need to know what you're looking for and looking at. Some of the Japanese 70's laminate top guitars' like the Yamahas are well built and sound great, if they are on good nick.

But then again, if its just for learning on you could but a cheap second hand "beater" for about €40 or €50.

So for someone who is a bit hesitant, buying new is a good move, but buy something with a bit of quality if you can afford it.

What sorta style are you looking to play? Just strumming chords for songs or is there a style of playing you want to do?

Let us know your budget, and if you wish, give us the links to a few second German websites that you could purchase from and we could browse for you to give you a few ideas/pointers.

PS: You couldn't go too far wrong with that Fender you have picked. If you look after it you could always sell it again if you want to trade up.

    PPS:

Before you buy a guitar, its always a good idea to check for You Tube videos and Review sites.

I'd say just buy it, with due respect you're not going to know if it's awfully bad or awfully good and Fender can't be too bad!

Having said that, nothing beats landing on an instrument that just "feels" right.

So, if you can at all, play before you buy.
