    What the ****.
I loved this film and I see it's on bcc3 now so I turnit over and see its labeled as drive (rescored by radio 1). It's basically some knob end taking away the whole cool soundtrack electro pop and replacing it with insipid crappy meditation music.

Check it out, what a piece of ****. The soundtrack is the business, I've got it in my car ha ha ha sad I know but it takes away from the film.

Know but brilliant tunes on it.

Think the alternative soundtrack is pretty good, original is great but this version has by no means effected the film negatively imo.

did you see the opening scene?? I watched it from about 20 mins in.
I cannot imagine anything but NIGHTcall for the beginning and also "tick of the clock" for the heist in the first few minutes.
I think it was crap and took away from It greatly. I was just saying to one of the lads in my job a minute ago, the soundtrack was in the charts for weeks. It like saying here lads, Im no art critic but I've given this mona lisa gal a touch up, and I think thicker eyebrows and a small beard really brings out her eyes!!!

    WTF!!!!!

The soundtrack is what makes this film,

if its not broken, don't fix it.

agreed,. and all the music was crap. it's the same as taking out the adagio for strings in platoon just as Dafoe gets shelled and putting in Tesco fruit and veg Isle music. the soundtrack is almost like and an artist signature.

its weird when I first saw the movie I was kinda MEH!!

Then I watched it one night with a few whiskeys and it was the soundtrack that had me, then the whole film just got me, like a painting you browse first when you enter a gallery and then head back to before you leave just to realise you've passed the best one on the day without realising it. the longer you stare at it and appreciate the work, you see how good it really is.

Don't think the bad guy deserved an Oscar nod though...

same here, after watching it, thought, meh, not good/bad, but certainly not a waste of my time.

over the coming days, it crept into me more and more, and suddenly I realised how epic it was.

Unfortunately I missed this. Is there anywhere I can catch the soundtrack or even the rescored movie?

I missed the intro but as the film went on I did find the music somewhat repetitive, it's a pretty interesting concept though to change a film's soundtrack like that.

I think of the music as a character in the film, removing it would effect the quality IMO, its like removing blue moon from american werewolf in London, sacrilege!

Another example of not messing with the original soundtrack was Donnie Darko the opening science where Echo and the Bunnymen The killing moon, in the directors cut they replace it with INXS never tear us apart and it just doesn't work!
I love Drive and part of that is it's great soundtrack.
