sms and viber messages problem

    My msgs are not showing in conversation thread s. I then don't know if they have gone. Never had this before. Samsung S4 mini. Thanks.

    It is a problem as per subject. I would appreciate advice as to how to fix. Thanks.
    In addition , I am not receiving txt properly. I an see them coming through in preview but they do not appear in conversation either! I could be missing txt s too. Help welcome. Thanks.

    Nope. Just regular sms and viber. Just noticed another txt preview but can't read it. :-(

    sure its not anyone google chatting with you? usually thats where i have mine, if not try install a different texting app like handcent or gosms or chomp. also change the settings in viber so its not the default texting app

    Thanks for e suggestion but I just want things back as they were and to be able to receive my messages as always.

    well we are trying to help you, trying to get it back the way it was but if you arent willing to try find out which is the offending app or what is causing it then i doubt it will just revert back without any help. good luck

    I think the suggestion to try uninstalling and trying a different app is good advice. Just get rid of viber for a few minutes and try out something like hangouts or textra. Make sure it's working as expected, then try reinstalling viber. If it goes arseways after that then at least you know the problem is likely with viber.

    Wayne Galway, if I was to get rid of viber and re install it, would I lose all my messages?

    It's also affecting my regular messages so not only viber but that would be a start. I haven't used any of the other apps mentioned.

    I don't use Viber, so I don't know for sure, but after a quick Google I found this
