Went to argos to buy one of these VAX STEAM CLEANERS as I wanted a combo one I could use as a handheld steamer as well as for the floors. Cost €59.99 but just noticed this evening that what Argos actually gave me was a Vax S86-MC-C which is also a multi function combo steamer and comes with a free accessory kit.

Not sure if it was a plus or a minus not getting the Vax S7-A that was actually in the catalogue, not used it yet, but it looks a pretty good kit anyway for €59.99

Thanks OP but it wouldnt work for me. Used Parcel Motel in Antrim, tried with my card and my paypal but no go. Just said address doesnt match.

Ordered a 3-in-1 hardwood yoke just there using paypal and parcel motel. Saved £140, if it is to be believed.
I had problems completing the purchase yesterday - could not get the paypal payment to complete - but no such problems today.
Based upon previous posts I wont be surprised if the order gets cancelled, but worth a shot to see if they do deliver.
I presume it will be an oversize item for parcel motel however, and cost a bit more, but still a good deal.

How's that work so as they just send it to N. Ireland and it's only from there that PM take over and bring it down. If you lived in a house in Belfast, would they refuse to ship it there?

I don't want to start a political row here, but surely Parcel Motel's BT364PE address is a UK address.
Many UK businesses exclude Northern Ireland from areas that they will deliver to, but VAX don't say that.
Poor service by them if they do not deliver in line with their statements....

Website delivery info says Mainland UK addresses only. Bit of a shame as I would have loved to get one of those handheld vacuum cleaners.

I get your point, but mainland and not mainlands of UK. Just to be pedantic I'd say the mainland is the biggest part that's stuck together. Still a shame we're excluded.

Where did you see that? I went through their website, and found the following in their Terms and Conditions link

No mention anywhere there of mainland only, or not delivering to Northern Ireland. On the contrary, the Terms and Conditions specifically state that Jersey and Guernsey are excluded - I am taking that to mean that N.I. is OK.
