The movies come in two packs of five, not as good a deal as it seems imo as the boxsets have no real resale values.

I agree, still though, anyone who would be in the market for a blu ray player in that price range, the deal it isn't a bad price at all. The movies are a bonus, except for Battleship of course, they can keep that:-)

Blu-ray player is old stock, they are clearly just trying to shift it as a 'deal' - €39.99 for a Sony blu-ray player in Tesco at the moment. Movies can be bought cheap enough. Some of them are stinkers also.

Blu Ray Player is current (ish) stock, anyway define "old stock" when it comes to electronics?

Reviews eant too bad - http://www.techradar.com/reviews/audio-visual/blu-ray-players/toshiba-bdx1500-1252066/review. Grand for a 2D blu ray player. Prices range from 50 quid sterling for this model (minus shipping) online.

I'm not promoting this one bit, just was in the local shop and said I let ye guys know...

Thanks OP, decent enough price for a new Bluray player and 10 blurays, most of which are pretty good. Good starter pack for someone.

Its a decent deal. At least 5 decent movies in that selection. The one thing I would say with blu ray players is don't expect to last. I had a sony that only lasted a year and it was only used irregularly and never moved once installed. Not uncommon for them to calve after a year or so.

offer available in hmv as well and other stores.

The bluray player is available on its own in Argos for €79 - so it's a case of whether you want those movies for €20.

Harvey Norman had loads of Blu Ray players at €55 at the weekend so it's a case, again, of whether you think those movies are worth €45...

So a good deal if you like the movies! But not so if you simply want a blu ray player!
