DAA not with it on their web site

Just been looking for information about arrivals on Wednesday, have family members arriving in on a Flybe flight from the UK, so I thought that I'd get the information from the DAA web site.

    WRONG.

On their system they have the Winter 2013 timetable, and the Summer 2014 timetables available for download, or the live timetables that only cover the next 24 hours.

Yes, I know the timetables only changed this weekend along with the clocks, but would it have been so hard to remove the 2013 winter timetable, and replace it with the Winter 2014 version, they must have it at this stage, being as it went live today.

Managed to find what I needed on the Flybe site, so it's not an issue any more, other than that DAA really do need to get their act together, if they expect people to support them.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

You had the option of the online timetable or contacting your family members to confirm the times. The new timetable will be up in a few days considering the scheduled changed less than 24h ago its not really that bad.

The information in the pdf timetables isn't always correct as the data is collected early and airlines change schedules regularly.

The online timetable only covers the next 24 hours, The online timetable wasn't working yesterday, and the response time today is very slow, so that won't didn't give me Wednesday's flights. Yes, I could contact a family member in the UK, but that costs an international phone call, I've already paid for my broadband.

The Winter 2013 timetable expired in March 2014.

Yes, the schedules changed over the weekend, but I would have expected that DAA have had advance schedule information from the airlines for a number of months at this stage, being that most booking engines are open for bookings 3 months ahead of the flight date.

And yes, I did get the information I needed from the airline's web site.

perhaps I was wrong to expect DAA to be proactive rather than reactive, given that running an airport is their business, I'd have thought that access to the current information on what's happening in the next week or so might have been a slightly higher priority

    UPDATE

The online timetable is working today, so clearly there was an issue yesterday with either a server or something, as there was nothing coming up on that selection on the page, despite waiting for some time. It's working today, so clearly it was a short term issue. The information I needed is now available on line.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

Email, Snapchat, Facebook etc also free of charge. Yes the online timetable can be slow but it works.

Correct the winter timetable expired months ago however airlines often change schedules up to 2 weeks before departure and then must update the systems for the daa to get the information off.

BTW the airlines website is the only area guaranteed to have the correct information so just as well you checked it.

Glad everything worked out in the end, nothing more to see here.

Out of curiosity, what exactly were you seeing when you went to the flight page. I don't doubt you had a problem but there were no reports of issues internally over the weekend. If something was missed I would like to find out what it was so it won't happen again.

The Winter 2014/15 timetable pdf file is now on the Dublin Airport website:

Nothing at all, it didn't paint in any of the entry options that were working on Tuesday when I tried the same page, despite giving it probably 45 seconds before going back to the previous menu, which worked almost instantly, so it wasn't a browser timeout issue as such, or a lost packet issue somewhere down the line.

If I'd known it wasn't working at all, I could have done a bit more diagnostic digging, I've got some utilities available for Firefox from the days when I had to debug some pages.

If it plays me up again, I will try and get more out of it, now I've seen how the page works, I know what to expect from it.
