hey guys been spending all my money on cars and motorbikes for the last 7 years and neglected my old hobby of pc gaming so im way way out of the loop when it comes to pc spec and what I need and was wondering what the best way I could spend my 2000 budget on a futureproof pc , I was going to get one from the likes of chillblast but it seems its much better value to build one , only I don't know how to , but am willing to pay someone else

1what is your budget? 2000 but maybe a bit more if it makes sense

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? triple monitor gaming , internet, editing gopro stuff, playing my guitar through a program like guitar rig , and normal computer stuff

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? yes

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? nope

    5. Do you need a monitor? no I will be going with a 3 monitor setup after Christmas but for now ill run it through my 55" 1080p tv

5a. If yes, what size do you need.

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? for now it will be a 1080p tv and future will be 3 of the best resolution I can get for the computer

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? nope

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? yes

    8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser] < any of those

    9. When are you purchasing? asap

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? this will be very important im in cork city and I will pay somebody to build it for me as I don't want to mess it up

Triple monitor gaming is over rated imo. Get a single large high resolution screen unless you need a second screen for better work productivity.

1440p is the sweet spot at the moment.

thanks man, I had planned on playing a lot of racing sim games and 3 screens really give a sense of speed and immersion in the game that's the only reason I was thinking of 3 screens, how much would I be saving by building myself say if the total was 2000 would a pc with the same spec by cyberpower or chillblast be 2400, or are the savings less significant

Ah fair enough then. That's probably the only use that would make it worthwhile but saying that the oculus rift and other alternative VR systems are only a year away and they will blow triple monitor setups out of the water for those kind of sims.

Building yourself especially on that kind of budget should save you a lot of money. Most of these companies operate on a flat % based profit margin. The more you spend the more they make. You should save 400-500 at least or get higher spec system for the same money.
